The Problem:

In the United States, an average of 3,000 people die each year from food poisoning, an additional 128,000 require hospitalization. Furthermore, an allergy sufferer is admitted to the Emergency Room every three minutes. These numbers are startling and continue to increase each year. While Health Departments inspect establishments typically once a year, many municipalities let the business to initially fail the inspection and then allow them to simply get re-inspected a few weeks later to receive a better score. With no additional explanation, how is the consumer supposed to know how an establishment is operated on a day-to-day basis?

Our Solution:

HDScores was created to give consumers complete transparency on food-serving establishments. The app allows users to see the actual health inspection reports given from each local jurisdiction which includes; the number of violations, the severity of those violations, and when they occurred. HDScores reports all previous inspections for the particular business, giving the consumer a historical view of where they are dining. An HDScore is represented as a simple percentage from 0%-100%, the closer to 100 the cleaner the establishment.

For over three years we have developed trusted partnerships with companies like Yelp to provide consistent data on restaurant cleanliness.

What we offer:
